Bio
David Sybert joined the UNC Coastal Studies Institute in May of 2009. Prior to this role, Dave served as an Educator at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. He has also spent time working in Southern California as a Marine Science Instructor.

Current Projects
Dave is responsible for working with John McCord, Education Program Coordinator, to communicate the research and activities of the UNC Coastal Studies Institute to an assortment of audiences including local government officials, university faculty, teachers, K-12 students and the general public. This mission is fulfilled through a variety of education and outreach methods including workshops, publications, press coverage, multi-media and web based learning.

Personal Interests
Dave prefers to spend his time in or around the waters of the Outer Banks. He enjoys surfing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, travel and sports.
